About the Client
Currently one of Brisbane’s great tech success stories have developed a world leading product being utilised in the field of mining, construction, infrastructure and survey mapping using drone technology, LiDAR mapping and data analytics.
Due to continued growth there is a new requirement for an experienced Agile Product Owner to work on their flagship product that incorporates drones, GPS, GIS and data collection tools
The Role / Responsibilities
- Be an ambassador for the product
- Workshop features with the teams to break down work into appropriate tasks
- Refine the problem to be solved and corresponding acceptance criteria so tasks are clearly understood by the development teams
- Manage the product backlog, prioritising and updating it based on evolving business requirements
- Create epics, features and user stories and define acceptance criteria
- Work within a cross-functional team in planning product releases
- Ensure that the product backlog is visible, transparent, clear to all and used effectively
- Monitor product delivery and evaluate product progress; identify and address issues
- Define, scope and plan sprints
- Analyse customer problems and user journeys
- Elaborate requirements including screen mock-ups, workflows, process flows and acceptance criteria
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in a technology company delivering products to a high standard in demanding environments
- Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence in an AGILE methodology
- Excellent Agile Story Writing skills
- Demonstrate a fundamental understanding and empathy for end-to-end customer experience
- Experience operating in a truly Agile environment
- Highly familiar with the use of Atlassian tools
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent stakeholder management capabilities and ability to lead as a peer
- Experience working with Hardware development will be advantageous
